Distinguished Alumni Profile: Fradeck Jockonia Mujuru

Fradreck Jockonia Mujuru, an alumnus of the Department of International Studies and History, is currently a Junior Assistant Operations Officer with the Zimbabwe Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZ) under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The main focus of his work is to restore the economy’s capacity to produce goods and services competitively, to create economies of scale good enough for the locator of the proposed SEZs to be internationally competitive, to ensure inclusive growth emanating from the spread of growth nodes and diversified provincial offerings, to maximize the economic benefits of a given geographical location and its stakeholders and to attract more investment from the International world. Much of the activities and benchmarks are guided by the Policy Document Vision 2030, to see Zimbabwe attaining a middle-upper income class. The talk-cum-interaction essentially focused on tracing the history of Norway from the era of the Vikings to the politics of today, which is a unitary constitutional monarchy. They shed light on the aspect of the Norwegian culture and lifestyle.
