Distinguished Alumni Profile: Fradeck Jockonia Mujuru


Fradreck Jockonia Mujuru, an alumnus of the Department of International Studies and History, is currently a Junior Assistant Operations Officer with the Zimbabwe Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZ) under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The main focus of his work is to restore the economy’s capacity to produce goods and services competitively, to create economies of scale good enough for the locator of the proposed SEZs to be internationally competitive, to ensure inclusive growth emanating from the spread of growth nodes and diversified provincial offerings, to maximize the economic benefits of a given geographical location and its stakeholders and to attract more investment from the International world. Much of the activities and benchmarks are guided by the Policy Document Vision 2030, to see Zimbabwe attaining a middle-upper income class. Therefore, the overarching goal is to build, sustainably, wealth and friendship base for Zimbabwe to attain the status which is of benefit to the entire populace and external stakeholders. Fradreck has written research articles that include;

Internship Experience - ICWA

Indian Council of World Affairs is an organization where research is given most priority. As an extension of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the officials of the organization are senior bureaucrats and retired ambassadors. Here, the importance is given to creative research where a researcher is given the utmost freedom to pursue the topic and area for undertaking research that interests them. When I joined as an intern, I was welcomed with friendly smiles and warmth. I met the Deputy Director General (DDG), Shri. Ajaneesh Kumar (IFS), who is the reporting person.
