THE YOUNG DIPLOMAT (PAPER PRESENTATION CONFERENCE)

The Young Diplomat Conference, organised by Master of Arts in International Studies, is a national-level paper presentation competition, to be held annually, to encourage the young enthusiasts interested in International Relations and Politics, for an in-depth orientation to understand the character of contemporary global affairs and enhance their research, through critical and analytical approach. This competition aims to facilitate both inter and intra-disciplinary approaches towards establishing and emerging discourses across this field of thought. This competition seeks to fulfil this aim by inviting scholars from across the country to engage in writing authentic and critically analysed research papers for presenting at the paper presentation conference, which will be held on March 20, 2021, virtually. ELIGIBILITY Young Diplomat Conference is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students across various fields of knowledge, studying in any higher educational institution of India. THEME: UNITED NATIONS AMIDST THE PANDEMIC SUB-THEMES: ● Future Prospects of United Nations Amidst Pandemic ● WHO and the Pandemic Politics ● Vaccine Diplomacy and Evolving Dimensions of United Nations ● Global Governance and Response to the Pandemic ● Pandemic and Global Economy: Challenges and Opportunities ● Global and Regional Health Governance SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 1) There is no limit to the number of entries from a single institution. A co-authored research paper will not be considered for the conference. 2) All participants are requested to mail a 300-400 words abstract about the research paper that the student is planning to undertake, based on any sub-theme, mentioned above, by January 30, 2021 to lyceum@isph.christuniversity.in 3) The participants should attach with their abstracts their contact details, which includes name, institution details, email address, phone number and college identification proof/government ID. 4) The main research papers can follow any methodology and approach of their choice (empirical or conceptual). The final length of the paper needs to be between 2500-4000 words (which is exclusive of citations and references). 5) The reference style that needs to be followed is APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition (in-text as well as references). Plagiarism of up to 10 per cent is acceptable. 6) The submitted abstracts shall be screened and the participants will be informed by February 6, 2021. 7) Authors who have been shortlisted, have to email their research paper on the above-mentioned ID, in word format by March 1, 2021. 8) Participants whose papers have been selected for the final presentation will be notified by March 6, 2021. They will present the paper in a Virtual Conference on March 20, 2021. AWARDS Awards will be given to the best presenters.
