Daksh 2016 - Annual Higher Education and Career guidance fair

" So what after 12th or PUC?" OR "So what after UG?"  A very common question asked by elders, friends, teachers would ask you knowing that very soon you going out from your cocoon to the real world. A world of opportunities. But the opportunities are plenty. Which is the best for you? Not everything given might be good for you. This where an orientation or a counselling session comes into play. Christ University, Bengaluru with aim to provide the right guidance and support to the students of 12th and UG courses hosts an annual Education cum Counselling fair - DAKSH which helps the students make the right choices.
Every department, each headed by a group of students from the department act as the mentors for the young minds in providing them an insight into the various courses they can opt for post +2/PUC or Undergraduate courses. This year too The Department of International Studies and History set up a stall near Block 1 beautifully decorated with pictures, charts, posters and flags of different nation providing all relevant information to the students who aspired to pursue the course. The department was represented by Anna, Saagar, Sukanya and Neha from MAIS. There was also map game organized for the students who came to the stall to give them a better insight into what they will actually be studying in the course. The stall was visited by other faculty members and the NAAC team which had come to the University. A lot of students from Junior College and other UG courses visited our stall. The stall received an overall positive response from the audience as a whole making the department feel optimistic about more students who would pursue the course in coming academic year.The stall received an overall positive response from the audience as a whole making the department feel optimistic about more students who would pursue the course in coming academic year.

Internship Experience- Indian Council of World Affairs-Avishka Ashok

My experience at the Indian Council of World Affairs has taught me the tedious process of research and the internal working of a think tank. Being a part of the core meetings and closed door conferences was a fascinating experience.
